Kaspersky Antivirus Review

Kaspersky Antivirus offers a powerful malware-protection application that has an impressive set of features. The features you receive depend on the package you select. It could range from basic virus and malware protection to a complete security suite.

The user interface for Kaspersky is simple and visually appealing, with the majority of functions displayed as a few tiles on the main screen. You can run rapid or full scans and then review the results in a straightforward and concise manner. You can also look up the status of your device (e.g. the green checkmark indicates that you’re protected) and look up the recommendations for any further actions.

Kaspersky has many amazing features which include a data leak detector system that examines the dark internet to search for personal information available that are available for sale (e.g. email addresses, credit card numbers and social security numbers), and a scanner for weak settings that identify configurations that leave your device vulnerable. Other security tools include an on-screen keyboard that stops keyloggers from tracking the physical movements of your keyboard to reveal your login details, as well as a rescue disk for disinfecting the computer that has been compromised. A free VPN is included with Kaspersky Internet Security subscriptions, although it’s limited to 300 MB per day.

While the software does a great job in keeping your device secure but some users are worried about the privacy practices of Kaspersky Lab. The company is owned and operated by the Russian security firm Eugene Kaspersky. It has been accused of collaborating with the government during the war in Ukraine. While the company denies these allegations however, the controversy has hurt its reputation. To restore confidence, Kaspersky has started its Global Transparency Initiative to prove that it is committed to the privacy and independence of its employees.
